I'm a potter, painter, teacher, mother, craftswoman, and lover of the natural world. I've been an artist my whole life, and recently my passion has found itself addicted to clay. My main mediums are ceramics and painting, but I really just love to work with my hands and create.
I teach high school art, and operate my pottery business, and I love them both! I greatly enjoy passing the knowledge down to the next generation and seeing that spark of creativity set in. Art has been a lifelong love for me, and my art teachers helped mold me into who I am today.
I love to travel, read, garden and spend time with my husband and two young sons. I'm addicted to coffee, especially iced, and absolutely love dogs, especially my pittie Lana. She is my spirit animal ❤️. Also, yes-I have a hedgehog! He is real, and super cute, and his name is Phineas.
I am the sole employee of Idle Hands Pottery, and create everything by hand. This means my pottery is produced in small batches, with care and quality. This also means that there will be periods of time when my Etsy shop is closed as I prepare inventory for art shows. Please be patient, and follow me on social media to see when I have updated my shop.
